Diagnose/Test

• Data Link Connector
  On-Board Diagnostic System: Check fault memory and erase if necessary.
• Vehicle
  Road test: Check kickdown, braking, steering, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, power accessories and electrical systems. After road test: check for leaks, power steering fluid, exhaust system for damage/leaks.

Inspect

• Air Bag Systems
  Check the air bag system every 12 months, regardless of mileage. Check function / damage.
• Automatic Transmission/Transaxle
  Transmission; Automatic: Check for leaks
• Axle Shaft Assembly
  Check boots
• Battery
  Check battery, including any auxiliary battery (if applicable)
• Brakes and Traction Control
  Check for damage/leaks, thickness of pads and brake fluid level.
• Coolant
  Check coolant level, add if necessary.
• Drive Belt
  V-Belt/Ribbed belt: Checak tension and condition
• Engine
  Check for leaks
• Exhaust System
  Check for damage and leaks
• Fluid- A/T (Direct Shift (DSG))
  Transmission; Direct Shift (DSG): Check fluid
• Headlamp
  Check / Adjust if necessary
• Manual Transmission/Transaxle
  Check oil level, add if needed. check for leaks
• Shift Interlock, A/T
  Check operation including park/neutral position switch
• Steering
  Check dust seals on tie rod ends; check tie rods
• Suspension
  Check dust seals on ball joints.
• Tire Pressure Sensor
  Where applicable. Check battery charge, replace wheel electronics and aliminium valve if necessary
• Tires
  Check conditionm tread depth, adjust tire pressure if needed (including spare)
• Washer Fluid
  Check fluid level, add if necessary
• Wiper Blade

Lubricate

• Doors
  Door check straps: Lubricate
• Sunroof/Moonroof Frame
  If applicable

Replace

• Air Filter Element
  Air cleaner: Replace filter and clean housing.
• Brake Fluid
  Every 2 years, regardless of mileage: Change brake fluid
• Cabin Air Filter
  Every 2 years or 20,000 miles: Change dust and pollen filter
• Engine Oil
• Fluid - A/T (Direct Shift (DSG))
  Transmission; Direct Shift (DSG): Change fluid
• Oil Filter, Engine
• Spare Tire (Tire Filter Bottle)
  If Equipped. Every four years regardless of the mileage: Replace tire bottle in tire mobility kit (observe ecpiration date)
