Extended Warranty on your automobile will do two things. First it will help your budget even in these horrible financial times, insurance is a must! Second it raises the resale value of your car cause most polices are transferable and we try to help our customers choose a plan that works for them.
I try to discourage a customer who does 25k miles per year or more, an ideal consumer will drive 15k miles or less per year. This will help policy stay intact for its entire duration. Most people will break at least once and the cost will be higher than a good insurance coverage which will cost approximately 100 per month, some luxury cars more some basic cars less. Time and time again I saw people looking for cheap policies. That's a huge mistake. What you are shopping for is the amount of covered components vs usage (miles and months) and you need to know your average mileage per year. Asking a qualified service rep will also be a huge help.
Are common flaws covered ? Knowing what is not covered is important! How long has company selling policy been in business? who is underwriter ? We have been very fortunate to handle millions of dollars of insurance claims since we opened in 1990. Remember insurance companies are in business to make money. Many policies have huge content of covered items, however the stuff that usually fails is omitted. The extended warranty underwriter will consulate with firms who employ actuarial scientists to keep costs down. For example it has been my experience to see items covered under most plans than omitted next year, why? To keep cost down. Insurance companies know they need to keep their costs in line as well. Do not buy an insurance contract without proper guidance. A quailfied professional should help you make a decision.

Rental - When covered repairs that you rent a replacement vehicle or seek alternate public transportation, rembursement or payment provided up to $40 per day / $200 per repair.

Towing/Road Service - In the event your vehicle is disabled, the service contract provides for reimbursement or payment for up to $50 Per Occurrence for Towing/Road Services, $75 Per Occurrence for Trucks/SUVs and $100 Per Occurrence for Flatbed on 4WD/AWD vehicles

Trip Interruption - If you are traveling more than 100 miles from home and your vehicle must be kept overnight by a repair faciliy for covered repairs, you are eligible for up to $75 Per Day / $225 Per Occurrence reimbursement for receipted hotel and restaurant expenses.

Lost Key/Lock Out - Reimbursement provided if the keys for your vehicle are lost, broken or accidentally locked in your vehicle for up to $35 Per Occurrence.
